Job summary

Executive Directions & Pinnacle Int'l, based in Geneva, IL, is seeking a Staff Accountant to support month-end close, AP processing, tax compliance, and reconciliations. The role reports to Corporate Controller and is on-site with standard hours 8:15AM–4:00PM, Monday to Friday.

The ideal candidate holds a BS/BA in Accounting or Finance with 2–5 years in manufacturing or distribution, and proficiency in Epicor Kinetic, Excel, Word, and Sage.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Accounting or Finance
• 2-5 years accounting experience in manufacturing or distribution environment
• Experience with ERP systems (Epicor Kinetic)
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and Sage

Responsibilities

• Support the daily accounting operations and assist with month-end close
• Ensure timely processing of payments per policy and procedures
• Assist Finance and other departments within the corporate umbrella
• Process A/P daily and apply cash receipts for all entities
• State local sales tax compliance
• Prepare monthly reconciliation reports
• Prepare and file sales tax returns
• Coordinate ACH/wire payments with Purchasing and outside suppliers
• Oversee capital expenditure accounting and controls

Our client, a global manufacturer in Geneva, IL, is seeking a Staff Accountant due to an internal promotion.

The Role

• Reports directly to the Corporate Controller
• Will work with key management leaders within the company to be efficient and effective with their production flow procedures
• Standard work hours are 8:15AM to 4:00PM, Monday through Friday
• 100% on site

The Responsibilities

• Support the daily operations of the accounting function by assisting with the month-end close process
• Ensure the accurate and timely processing of payments in accordance with company policy and procedures
• Perform other general functions to support the Finance Department and other departments and Business Units within the corporate umbrella
• Involved in processing A/P daily, applying cash receipts for all entities
• State local sales tax compliance
• Prepare monthly reconciliation reports
• Prepare and pay sales tax returns
• Work with Purchasing and outside suppliers to ensure ACH/wire payments
• Account for and control the capital expenditure process

The Ideal Candidate

• BS/BA in Accounting or Finance
• 2-5 years relevant accounting experience in either a manufacturing or distribution (products produced or moved/distributed) environment
• Ability to use ERP systems (Epicor Kinetic)
• Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Sage will be needed

Compensation

• $75,000 to $90,000 plus bonus (discretionary)
