Job description

This position is primarily responsible for ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and company policies and procedures. This individual will compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions. They will also maintain established accounting control policies and procedures, compile information for executive reports, produce reports, and assist accountants with special projects as necessary.

Job Requirements

1. Compile and analyze financial information to prepare timely entries to general ledger accounts.
2. Support the month-end close process in a deadline-oriented environment.
3. Prepare monthly account reconciliations, analyze general ledger accounts, and conduct variance analysis.
4. Compile and prepare forecasts and budgets.
5. Investigate and explain account variances.
6. Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
7. Analyze data and trends; prepare reports as needed.
8. Maintain safety, security, and privacy standards in all responsibilities.

Knowledge

• Knowledge of accounting functions and principles.

Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word, PowerPoint, Excel (including VLookup and pivot tables), and Outlook.
• Experience with Workday Financial is a plus but not required.
