  • Develop and maintain automated test cases in parallel with manual testing, and work with the automation team to integrate them into the full regression test suite.
  • Investigate and reproduce field escalations by collaborating with support and development teams, and drive resolution of reported issues.
  • Create, reproduce, and manage bugs on a daily basis, ensuring clear documentation and tracking through closure.
  • Collaborate closely with development to drive efficient test progress and bug fix throughput.
  • Analyze hardware and software product architectures to design effective tests and understand implications for feature validation.
  • Characterize, analyze, and help resolve performance and scalability issues in complex deployments.
  • Serve as test project lead on occasion, owning QA deliverables and timelines for assigned projects.
  • Mentor junior QA engineers on QA processes, tools, and technologies.
What you’ve done:

  • Planned and executed functional, performance, integration, and interoperability testing for complex products.

  • Used test case management tools such as Mercury Quality Center, TestRail, or similar platforms.
  • Developed strong network configuration and troubleshooting skills in multi-layer, multi-vendor environments.
  • Utilized packet capture and analysis tools such as Wireshark and SnifferPro, and interpreted packet captures to diagnose issues.
  • Authored and maintained scripts in languages such as Python to support test automation and tooling.
  • Used bug tracking systems such as Bugzilla, Jira, or similar to manage defects and project progress.
  • Led or supported test or project leadership activities and contributed to mentoring junior QA engineers.
  • Earned at minimum a BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent field.
Who you are:
  • A strategic and analytical thinker who can translate complex security and networking architectures into effective test strategies.
  • A self-starter who is highly self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple concurrent tasks and priorities.
  • A collaborative team player who works effectively with development, automation, and support teams to drive product quality.
  • A detail-oriented engineer with a strong sense of ownership and a focus on delivering high-quality, customer-centric solutions.
