The Credentialing Engineering team is working to drastically improve the speed and quality of credentialing to ensure that doctors and facilities can spend more time treating millions of patients each year and less time dealing with credentialing headaches. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Credentialing Engineering team, you will design, develop, and maintain high-quality, secure, interconnected applications and systems. These applications and systems enable CHG and external customer credentialing specialists to verify the credentials and experience of medical providers quickly and accurately. This role will report to a Sr. Software Engineering Manager.
Develop and maintain code for interconnected software systems with an eye to quality and security, using AI-enabled SDD methodology. Deliver proven and validated code with automated contract, unit, integration, and functional tests. Collaborate with business analysts, product managers, UI/UX designers, and other engineers to design the best solutions for users while following software architecture best practices. Communicate and mentor effectively in a people-first, remote working environment, including offshore team members. Participate in code-review process to ensure code quality and provide opportunities to mentor and be mentored.
Experienced and capable with: NodeJS and Typescript Workflow Orchestration Platforms like Temporal, Camunda, Pega, etc. Relational databases like Postgres, MySQL, etc. Experience working in a SaaS multi-tenant environment. Developing API-driven systems with GraphQL and REST. Modern JavaScript-relevant testing framework (Jest, Mocha, Jasmine, etc.) Familiar with AI-enabled SDD. Strong written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field, or equivalent experience 10+ years’ experience as a software engineer
With: NestJS Jest Distributed event-store / stream-processing platform (most preferably Apache Kafka) Distributed tracing
We believe in fair compensation for all of our people, which is why our pay structure takes into account the cost of labor across U.S. geographic markets. For this position, we offer a pay range of $130,500 -- $252,300 annually, with pay varying depending on work location and job‑related factors such as knowledge, position level and experience. CHG Healthcare offers starting salaries for sales positions in the form of total target compensation (TTC = base + commission + bonus), which includes base pay, commission, and bonuses. Sales positions receive short‑term incentives through commission plans and bonuses.
