CHG Healthcare is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Credentialing Engineering team. You will design, develop, and maintain secure, interconnected applications to speed credentialing for medical providers.

Role reports to a Senior Software Engineering Manager and involves mentoring, code reviews, and collaboration across remote teams. Tech stack includes Node.js, TypeScript, React, Kafka, Temporal, Postgres, AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Grafana.

The Credentialing Engineering team is working to drastically improve the speed and quality of credentialing to ensure that doctors and facilities can spend more time treating millions of patients each year and less time dealing with credentialing headaches. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Credentialing Engineering team, you will design, develop, and maintain high-quality, secure, interconnected applications and systems. These applications and systems enable CHG and external customer credentialing specialists to verify the credentials and experience of medical providers quickly and accurately. This role will report to a Sr. Software Engineering Manager. A little about our tech stack: Node.js + TypeScript + React Apache Kafka, Temporal, Postgres DB AWS CloudFormation/Terraform Kubernetes/Istio Grafana

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain code for interconnected software systems with an eye to quality and security, using AI-enabled SDD methodology. Deliver proven and validated code with automated contract, unit, integration, and functional tests. Collaborate with business analysts, product managers, UI/UX designers, and other engineers to design the best solutions for users while following software architecture best practices. Communicate and mentor effectively in a people-first, remote working environment, including offshore team members. Participate in code-review process to ensure code quality and provide opportunities to mentor and be mentored.

Qualifications

Experienced and capable with: NodeJS and TypescriptWorkflow Orchestration Platforms like Temporal, Camunda, Pega, etc.Relational databases like Postgres, MySQL, etc.Experience working in a SaaS multi-tenant environment.Developing API-driven systems with GraphQL and REST.Modern JavaScript-relevant testing framework (Jest, Mocha, Jasmine, etc.)Familiar with AI-enabled SDD.Strong written and verbal communication skills

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field, or equivalent experience10+ years’ experience as a software engineer

Preferred Experience

With: NestJSJestDistributed event-store / stream-processing platform (most preferably Apache Kafka)Distributed tracing

We believe in fair compensation for all of our people, which is why our pay structure takes into account the cost of labor across U.S. geographic markets. For this position, we offer a pay range of $130,500 -- $252,300 annually, with pay varying depending on work location and job-related factors such as knowledge, position level and experience.
