Job summary

Nightwing in the NCR or San Antonio seeks a Senior Software Engineer to lead design, development, testing and deployment of mission-critical software. You will apply SAFe Agile practices, mentor engineers, ensure security, and deliver scalable, high‑performance applications.

Requires 10+ years in software development, a CS-related degree, expert Python/Java/Go, microservices, DevSecOps and distributed systems. Must hold TS/SCI with CI Polygraph and be a U.S.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of software development experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent substitution).
• Expert-level proficiency in Python, Java, Go and other languages.
• Deep understanding of microservices, containers, and orchestration.
• Extensive experience with DevSecOps practices and toolchains.
• Strong knowledge of software design patterns and architectural principles.
• Experience with distributed systems and messaging (Kafka, NATS, RabbitMQ).
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical implementations.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain CI Polygraph.
• Must be U.S. citizen.
• Must be located in NCR or San Antonio area.

This position applies advanced software engineering principles and SAFe Agile methodologies to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance applications. The Senior Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams, mentors junior developers, and ensures software solutions meet stringent technical, functional, and security requirements.

• Must be U.S. citizen
• Must be located in NCR or San Antonio area

Salary & Benefits

The salary associated with this position ($99,000-$206,000) is commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, and demonstrated level of expertise. Compensation will be determined based on these factors to ensure alignment with skills, responsibilities, and market standards.
