Job summary

Insight Global in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support and enhance critical enterprise and manufacturing systems in a fast-paced, high-availability environment. This onsite role focuses on production/application support with light development, scripting, system integration, and troubleshooting.

You will work across Windows and Linux, develop SQL queries and data integrations, troubleshoot issues, assist deployments, and contribute to incident RCA and reliability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience supporting enterprise, industrial, or manufacturing systems.
• 3+ years of experience supporting production systems or applications.
• Experience with incident management and root cause analysis.
• Proficiency with SQL and data integration concepts.
• Experience in Windows and Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and maintenance for Linux-based application services.

Our semiconductor client is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support and enhance critical enterprise and manufacturing systems in a fast paced, high availability environment. This role is primarily focused on production/application support with light development and scripting, system integration, and troubleshooting, while also offering opportunities to contribute to innovative automation initiatives.This is a hands on, onsite role ideal for someone who thrives in complex environments, enjoys solving real time problems, and is excited to jump into evolving systems and processes.These engineers will provide support and maintain application services running on Linux-based platforms. They will develop and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and data integrations. They will ensure reliable data flow between monitoring systems, databases, and downstream consumers. They will troubleshoot application, service, and data pipeline issues. They will support deployment, configuration, and validation of application updates. They will maintain system performance, logs, and error handling mechanisms. They will collaborate with infrastructure and manufacturing systems teams on integrations. They will support test environments, release validation, and deployment documentation. They will participate in incident RCA and long-term reliability improvements. They will maintain application and integration documentation.

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related technical discipline OR equivalent professional experience supporting enterprise, industrial, or manufacturing systems
• 3+ years of experience supporting production systems or applications
• Demonstrated experience with: Incident management and root cause analysis
• Cross functional technical collaboration
• Reviewing and modifying backend application code
• Proficiency with SQL
• Experience supporting both Windows and Linux environments
• Familiarity with source code version control systems (Git, SVN)
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to create clear technical documentation
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non technical stakeholders
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision while coordinating with internal teams and external vendors
• Experience in telecommunications or construction related environments
• Exposure to enterprise automation or systems integration projects
• Comfort working in high availability, fast moving operational settings
