• Execute functional, integration, system, regression, performance, and end-to-end testing.

• Analyze defects, perform root cause analysis, and drive issue resolution.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and automated quality gates.

Position Summary

Client is looking for a hands‑on Senior Software Test Engineer with extensive experience in cloud testing, test automation, and medical device verification and validation. This contract-to-hire position requires a strong technical leader who can contribute individually while coordinating and guiding engineering activities across cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in testing applications hosted on Microsoft Azure, developing automated test solutions using Python, and validating embedded medical device software. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong collaboration, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in software testing, quality engineering, verification and validation, or related fields.
• Strong experience testing cloud-based applications and services hosted on Microsoft Azure.
• Proven expertise in test automation methodologies and frameworks.
• Strong programming experience in Python. Python experience is required.
• Hands‑on experience testing embedded medical devices and embedded software.
• Experience working within regulated product development environments.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Verification & Validation (V&V) processes.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical activities and effectively manage engineering efforts while contributing as an individual contributor.
• Strong teamwork, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Azure Certification (Azure Administrator, Azure Developer, Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent).
• Experience with cloud-native architectures, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Knowledge of FDA-regulated medical device development.
• Familiarity with IEC 62304, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, and other medical device standards.
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Prior experience leading or mentoring technical engineering teams.
