Job summary

The Fountain Group in San Diego, CA is seeking a Sr. Software Cloud Test Engineer for a 6-month contract-to-hire role. The position is on-site and requires hands-on expertise in cloud testing, Python automation, and medical device verification.

Responsibilities

• Lead verification and validation activities for cloud-connected medical device systems.

• Test Microsoft Azure cloud applications, services, APIs, and infrastructure.
• Validate embedded software used in regulated medical device products.
• Execute functional, integration, system, regression, performance, and end-to-end testing.
• Collaborate with software, systems, DevOps, cybersecurity, and quality teams.
• Analyze defects, perform root cause analysis, and drive issue resolution.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and automated quality gates.
• Mentor and provide technical leadership to other test engineers.

We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a Sr. Software Cloud Test Engineer for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in San Diego, CA. On-Site. Potential C2H. Open to relos. Details of the position are as follows:

Job Details:

• 6-month assignment, possibility of conversion to full time.
• Monday – Friday, starting at 6:00 AM to cover standups for various teams.
• Hands-on Senior Software Test Engineer with extensive experience in cloud testing, test automation, and medical device verification and validation. This contract-to-hire position requires a strong technical leader who can contribute individually while coordinating and guiding engineering activities across cross-functional teams.
• The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in testing applications hosted on Microsoft Azure, developing automated test solutions using Python, and validating embedded medical device software. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong collaboration, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
