Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Santa Clara seeks a Senior Software Development Manager to own the technical strategy and roadmap for a fast-growing AWS service that runs managed agents.

You will lead a team of senior engineers, partner with model providers and AWS service teams, and own end-to-end engineering, operations, and growth. You will set engineering standards, hire, and scale the team to support customer workloads.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering management experience.
• 10+ years' experience in development of mission-critical system software with distributed systems, ML infrastructure, or large-scale data platforms.
• Experience with untrusted or customer-supplied code, e.g., serverless compute or sandboxed environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of senior engineers building a fast-growing AWS service for managed agents.
• Own the technical strategy and roadmap for the service.
• Partner with model providers and AWS service teams to drive end-to-end engineering, operations, and growth.
• Set the engineering bar, hire and grow the team, and make architectural decisions that influence enterprise adoption.
