Job ID: 10592355 | Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc.
Running AI agents in the cloud is an exciting, quickly-evolving area, and successfully deploying them at scale can be difficult. An agent runs for minutes or hours, calls tools, writes and runs code, and keeps state across many turns. It has to do all of that inside a customer's security boundary, with the same trust, reliability, isolation, and auditability that customers expect from any other AWS service. Our team builds the managed services that makes this possible.
Customers define their agent definitions, and we run them as a fully managed AWS service: provisioning, sandboxed execution, session state, identity, observability, and scaling.
The service covers the whole agent lifecycle. It creates and configures agents, runs long-lived sessions with durable state, executes tools and code in isolated environments, connects to customer data and systems with appropriate identity, and gives customers the logs, metrics, and controls they need to run agents in production. We work closely with leading model providers to bring their agent experiences to AWS customers. That means our engineers solve problems at the boundary between AWS customers, frontier labs, and AWS cloud infrastructure.
As Sr. SDM for Managed Agents, you will lead a team of senior engineers building one of the newest and fastest-growing areas of AWS. You will own the technical strategy and roadmap for the service, partner with model providers and AWS service teams, and be responsible for all aspects of its end-to-end engineering, operations, and growth. This is an early-stage service. You will set the engineering bar, hire and grow the team, and make architectural decisions that influence how enterprises run AI agents for years to come.
