Join to apply for the Sr. Risk Analyst, Cargo Claims role at Amazon.

Amazon's Global Risk Management & Claims team is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Risk Analyst with a background in logistics, supply chain, and data analytics. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of insurance claims processes, global cargo regulations, and risk management in transportation. As a Senior Risk Analyst, you will partner with our Third-Party Administrator (TPA) to ensure compliance through audits and KPIs for cargo claims. You will develop and validate metrics, review benchmarking data, and communicate with internal stakeholders through business reviews. In this individual contributor role, you will lead innovation initiatives, measure results, and champion Amazon's Leadership Principles among external partners.

Key job responsibilities
  • Develop program metrics, KPIs, and benchmarking to track the global cargo claims program
  • Report business metrics to internal teams and discuss program progression and goals
  • Collaborate with the TPA to improve SOPs and CSI compliance, enhancing the claim experience
  • Meet regularly with TPA and leadership to discuss metrics and increase collaboration
  • Partner with the TPA to promote accountability and innovation
A day in the life

In this role, you will partner with stakeholders to analyze business challenges and loss trends, aiming to improve the claims process and claims recovery. You will build partnerships across transportation organizations to gather requirements, develop metrics, establish KPIs for vendors, and deliver insights to mitigate risks. You should be customer-obsessed and work backwards from customer needs to meet business objectives.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or similar
  • Experience handling confidential information
  • 1+ years of cargo, transportation, and logistics experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience defining program requirements and leveraging data and metrics for improvements
  • Professional auditing or risk/ compliance credentials
  • Experience with SQL and Excel
