Job description

Mallory Alexander International Logistics, a global third-party logistics company (3PL) headquartered in Memphis, TN, has an immediate opening for a Logistics Professional to join our team!

We are looking for an innovative, analytical teammate, a Global Trade Compliance Consultant. This position partners with key stakeholders to provide actionable guidance to ensure compliance with U.S. regulations while enabling successful international business activities.
Responsibilities:
  1. Handle internal and external customer compliance trade requests, process documentation related to US imports, and manage trade compliance matters.
  2. Provide product harmonized tariff advisory classifications.
  3. File US Customs rulings.
  4. Assist with submission of Section 301 exclusions and analyze opportunities.
  5. Support trade remedies such as Antidumping, Countervailing duties, Section 201, and Section 232.
  6. Evaluate qualifications for Free Trade Act, conduct Country of Origin/Sourcing analysis.
  7. Research complex issues involving HTS classification, country of origin, marking, and valuation.
  8. Manage inquiries from US Customs, including CBP Forms 28 & 29.
  9. Execute and oversee Post Summary Corrections, including Prior Disclosures.
  10. Identify opportunities for duty minimization (tariff engineering, FTZ, CBMA, etc.).
  11. Conduct training, risk assessments, and internal audits.
  12. Administer and file duty drawback claims.
  13. Develop and support Supply Chain Safety programs, such as C-TPAT.
  14. Draft customs and vendor compliance procedures.
  15. Monitor changes in customs/trade regulations and assess impacts.
  16. Drive process improvements and efficiencies in trade procedures.
  17. Support compliance audits and liaise with FTZ consultants and trade attorneys as needed.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, or related field.
  2. 5+ years of international trade experience with broad knowledge of import trade compliance.
  3. Licensed Customs Broker preferred but not required; strong commitment to compliance.
  4. Experience with US customs broker operations and as an importer or USPPI/exporter.
  5. Well-organized, self-starting, with ability to multitask and prioritize.
  6. Ability to tackle complex issues across departments and with clients.
  7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  8. Customer Service experience; confident in presenting to clients and executives.
  9. Creative and analytical problem-solving skills.
  10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

The salary ranges from $85,000 to $95,000, depending on experience and location, with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.

Note: This position is remote, preferably in Central/Eastern USA.
