We are looking for a strategic Domestic Transportation Manager with global experience who thrives under pressure. This role is responsible for managing our Americas transportation 3PL partner to ensure strong performance of our North American parcel, less-than-truckload (LTL), truckload (TL), and drayage modes. This includes working closely with our 3PL partner, transportation providers, and internal/external stakeholders (business units, suppliers, and customers) to ensure strong performance in cost, quality, on-time pickup, and on-time delivery. This position manages and improves approximately $100 million in annual transportation spend.

This position requires at least 5-10 years of North American transportation management experience. It is a US-based remote position. Candidates may need to work East Coast time depending on physical location.

Remote position, with the ability to work East Coast time zone depending on physical location, and able to travel up to 25% as needed.

What your background should look like:

Manage our Americas Region transportation volume, extending through US, Mexico, and Canada, including services such as Full Truck Loads, Less Than Truck Loads, and Small Parcel.
Experience managing transportation operations under scenarios like:

  • Standard Full Truck Loads and Less Than Truck Loads
  • In-Bond shipments
  • Cross-Border operations between US-CA and US-MX
  • Port to Door shipments (Air and Ocean)
  • Small parcel services

Experience managing 3PL Transportation service providers.
Manage integration of our transportation management system (TMS) with our supply base, manufacturing plants, and distribution centers to ensure all TE-paid transportation is booked, optimized, and tracked properly.
Monitor network efficiency through KPIs such as on-time pickup %, on-time delivery %, shipment quality, cargo claims, and cost metrics across modes.
Perform analytics from shipment reports to identify opportunities for freight cost reduction, cargo consolidation, route optimization, correct freight mode/service selection, and lead time reduction.

  • Knowledge of key logistics cost drivers (weight, dims, accessorials, space management, etc.).

Work with our 3PL partner and business units to identify and implement transportation improvement projects related to freight cost savings, cargo consolidation, and lead time reduction.
Lead multiple projects with multidisciplinary teams with minimal supervision.
Collaborate with departments such as Logistics, Planning, Purchasing, Procurement, and Compliance to improve end-to-end supply chain performance.
Create executive presentations and reports to communicate achievements and solutions.
Knowledge of trade documentation for US and Mexico imports/exports (e.g., Carta Porte, Shipping Letter Instructions, inbond entry, domestic entries, Certificates of Origin, Bill of Lading).
Advanced knowledge of INCOTERMS.
Experience performing RFPs from start to finish.

Required Background:

Minimum 5 years of North American transportation management experience.
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Engineering; or 10 years of relevant experience.
Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel).
Ability to build and motivate teams.
Strong analytical skills.
Experience with transportation management systems (e.g., SAP, TMS, S4HANA).
Experience implementing TMS is a plus.
Excellent business and technical communication skills, bilingual in English and Spanish.
Strong understanding of freight financials and forecasting.

Nice to Have:

Compensation:
Base salary ranges from $89,300 to $134,000, depending on experience and location. Total compensation includes base salary, incentive, and benefits.
