Job summary

Addvantage Credit Union Staffing is seeking an experienced Sr. Real Estate Processor for a credit union in Valencia, CA. This onsite role handles mortgage loans from application through funding, including Purchase, Refinance, and HELOCs, following FNMA/FHLMC and other guidelines.

Pay is $33-47/hr; Type: full-time, temporary, possible temp-to-hire. Candidates must analyze income sources, prep title and appraisal reviews, coordinate closing with Escrow, and ensure compliance with federal/state

Qualifications

• 3-5 yrs experience in real estate lending processing to FNMA/FHLMC & jumbo guidelines.
• Thorough knowledge of real estate lending laws and fundamentals (1st, 2nd & HELOCs).
• Able to analyze income from all sources.
• Ability to obtain NMLS License within 3 months of hire.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Symitar, DU and Prime Alliance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process mortgage loans from application through funding.

• Analyze income, including tax returns, rental income, alimony, retirement income, etc.
• Prepare preliminary analysis for self-employed members and tax returns.
• Analyze title policy report and work with Title/Escrow to clear clouds on title.
• Analyze appraisal reports to underwriting guidelines.
• Review credit reports and analyze history per guidelines.
• Prepare final closing documents and coordinate signing with Escrow.
• Funds all real estate loan types and follow post-closing documentation.
• Ensure loans are documented and compliant with policies and investor requirements.
• Analyze applications based on Fannie Mae, PMI, and other guidelines.

We are currently seeking an experienced Sr. Real Estate Processor for a credit union located in Valencia, CA!

Type: Full-time, temporary, possible temp-to-hire

Pay: $33-47/hr

Hours: M-F 8:00am to 5:00pm or a shift close to those hours (onsite)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for processing mortgage loans from application through funding.
• Ensure loans meet the guidelines established by the Credit Union and federal and state regulations.Processes all residential real estate loans including Purchase, Refinance, and Home Equity.
• Analyzes member's income, including but not limited to, Individual Federal Income Tax Returns (all schedules); Rental Income; Alimony/Child Support; Retirement Income, etc.
• Prepares preliminary analysis of Self-Employed members, including by not limited to Corporate Tax Return and Partnership Returns.
• Analyzes preliminary title policy report to underwriting guidelines. Works with Title and Escrow Company and assist member with clearing clouds on title.
• Analyzes appraisal report to underwriting guidelines.
• Demonstrates ability to analyze comparable selection, net/gross adjustments, appraiser comments, etc.
• Reviews credit reports and analyzes credit history in accordance with underwriting guidelines.
• Prepares Final Closing Documents and coordinates signing with Escrow Company.
• Funds all real estate loan types and follows up on necessary post closing documentation.
• Ensures that all loans are processed accurately and are properly documented, and that loan policy and procedure, services and products meet federal and state regulations as well as investor and post closing Loan Quality Analyst requirements.
• Analyzes loan applications based on applicable Fannie Mae, Private Mortgage Insurance, other investor, credit and property guidelines and program profiles.
• Accurately inputs all required information for HMDA.
• Prepares file for underwriting and/or policy exception when necessary.
• Explores options for denied and/or marginal loans with Loan Officer / Underwriter / Manager.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must have 3-5 yrs experience in real estate lending processing to FNMA/FHLMC & jumbo guidelines.
• A thorough knowledge of the laws and fundamentals of real estate lending (1st, 2nd & HELOC'S).
• Able to analyze income from all sources.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment.
• Ability to obtain NMLS License within 3 months of hire.
• Working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of office products.
• Ability to learn new skills quickly and implement effectively.
• Ability to gather and analyze data.
• Experience using Symitar, DU, and Prime Alliance a plus.
