Overview:

Practice Fusion is seeking a Sr. Quality Engineering Manager passionate about creating life-saving technology for healthcare providers and patients. This role involves individual contributions (test development and execution), process and procedure management, and people management.

Responsibilities:

  • As a manager:
    • Set performance goals for team members
    • Provide regular feedback and address performance issues promptly
    • Recognize high performers to motivate and retain talent
    • Develop and coach individuals to reach their potential
    • Foster team spirit and induct new members for optimal performance
    • Allocate workloads to utilize talents effectively
    • Lead and audit quality initiatives as appropriate
    • Report on quality metrics
    • Lead compliance and process improvement efforts
    • Manage Quality Engineering team members, including individual contributors and managers in distributed teams
  • As an individual contributor:
    • Develop automation for REST web services using C#
    • Use SQL for database verification and testing
    • Collaborate to improve automation frameworks and processes
    • Participate in Agile development, including requirements analysis and test planning
    • Perform exploratory, functional, and regression testing, with root cause analysis and bug reporting
    • Work with support teams to identify, prioritize, and resolve defects

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field
  • Postgraduate qualifications and professional memberships are a plus

Experience:

  • 10+ years in Quality Engineering, including:
    • Agile development
    • Test automation and coding best practices
    • Test framework setup and CI/CD
    • Software build and release processes
    • Defect analysis and root cause investigation
  • Proven leadership and mentoring in Test Engineering
  • 4+ years in engineering management
  • Familiarity with JIRA, GitHub, Azure, AWS, etc.
