Job summary

Mutual of Enumclaw seeks a Sr. Property Claims Manager to lead our Property Claims function across Personal, Commercial, and Farm lines. You will guide supervisors and adjusters, set standards, and ensure responsive, knowledgeable service during customers' hardest days.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of insurance experience with an emphasis on property, commercial, and farm claims.
• 5+ years of management experience preferred.
• Industry designation(s) such as CPCU, AIC, or SCLA strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and claims software, including Xactimate and XactAnalysis.
• Advanced knowledge of personal, commercial, and farm policies, construction and building practices, and the regulatory and legal landscape.
• Advanced skills in business analytics, root cause analysis, complex coverage assessment, reserving, and litigation management.

Job description

We're looking for a Sr. Property Claims Manager to lead our Property Claims function across Personal, Commercial, and Farm lines. You'll guide multiple Property Claims Supervisors and their teams of adjusters, set the standards the function runs on, and make sure our customers get responsive, knowledgeable service when they need it most.

Location: Preference will be given to candidates located in one of the following states: WA, OR, ID, MT, WY, UT, or AZ. Candidates must be able to work during our core Pacific Standard Time (PST) business hours and must have high-speed internet (internet speed test required).

What You'll Do-

• Lead and develop Property Claims Supervisors and their teams, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and succession planning.
• Oversee daily operations for complex multi-line commercial, farm, and coverage claims.
• Hit business unit targets and manage the department expense budget.
• Set file quality and compliance standards that meet company and regulatory requirements.
• Guide your teams through sensitive and escalated situations with urgency and empathy.
• Grant settlement, reserve, and expense authority, and recommend changes to authority levels.
• Spot industry, environmental, and legislative trends, and build risk-mitigation processes around them.
• Partner with independent adjusters, experts, reinsurance and regulatory contacts, agents, and our Home Office teams.
• Drive process improvements, quality assurance, and training programs.

Hiring Range: $138,600 - $156,400*

Salary Range: $138,600 - $173,500
