Qualifications

• 10+ years of insurance experience with an emphasis on property, commercial, and farm claims.
• 5+ years of management experience preferred.
• Insurance industry designation(s)/certification(s) (e.g., CPCU, AIC, SCLA) strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products and claims-related software, including Xactimate and XactAnalysis.
• Advanced familiarity with structural construction/building practices and principles.
• Advanced knowledge of business analytics, reporting, and root cause analysis. Advanced knowledge of personal, commercial, and farm insurance policies.
• Advanced knowledge of regulatory and legal environments.
• Demonstrated proficiency in the assessment of complex claims coverage, reserving protocol, and evaluation and litigation management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Property Claims function across multi-line portfolios.
• Lead and develop Property Claims Supervisors and their teams.
• Set direction, standards, and authority levels for the function.
• Ensure compliant, timely claim resolution and expense management.
• Build relationships with policyholders, agents, providers, and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor industry trends and educate the team to mitigate risks.
• Design and implement risk-mitigation procedures and processes.
• Support quality-assurance and training programs.
