You will report to a Property Claims Supervisor and work in a field role based in Montana, with core Pacific Time hours and required broadband. The position emphasizes strong reconstruction cost estimates and collaboration with multiple stakeholders.

Formación

• 5 to 7 years of property field claims adjusting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business or industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of insurance policies and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to build accurate reconstruction estimates and get stakeholders to agree on costs/timelines.
• Proficiency with Xactimate, XactAnalysis, MS Office and claims software.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Resilience and adaptability in a fast-changing environment.
• Insurance designations or certifications are a plus.

When a storm, fire, or freeze hits a Montana home, farm, or business, the adjuster who shows up matters. We're looking for that person to join our team at Mutual of Enumclaw as a Sr. Property Claims Adjuster.

Since 1898, MOE has protected the lives and livelihoods of Northwest homeowners, families, farmers, and business owners, and claims are where that promise gets kept. In this role, you’ll investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve moderately complex property claims across Montana, leading with empathy and performing with expertise. You’ll report to a Property Claims Supervisor.

LOCATION

This is a field role based in Montana, so we’re looking for someone who calls Montana home. You’ll also need to work during our core Pacific Time business hours and have high-speed internet (a speed test is required).

Hiring Range: $83,805 - $94,124

Salary Range: $83,805 - $105,011

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Adjust personal, farm, and commercial property claims across Montana with a strategic, customer-first approach
• Determine coverage and conduct field or desk investigations and inspections of damaged property
• Resolve structural claims on-site or virtually whenever possible, and direct service providers in the field
• Work with policyholders, agents, contractors, independent adjusters, and vendors to reach accurate, prompt resolutions
• Manage your workload while keeping claims quality and timely service front and center
• Spot and refer claims with subrogation or fraud potential
• Provide ethical, responsive, personal, and efficient service on every claim
• Be available after hours when needed

WHAT YOU BRING

• 5 to 7 years of property field claims adjusting experience
• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent business or industry experience
• Strong knowledge of insurance policies and regulatory requirements
• A history of thorough, inquisitive claims investigations
• The ability to build accurate reconstruction and rebuilding estimates on your own and get stakeholders to agree on repair costs and timelines
• Proficiency with Xactimate, XactAnalysis, Microsoft Office, and claims software
• Strong communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills
• Resilience and adaptability in a fast-changing environment
• Insurance designations or certifications are a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Climb ladders and navigate steep stairs and roofs to inspect damaged structures
• Lift up to 25 lbs.
• Sit for extended periods at a computer, including on video calls
