Job summary

Dycom is seeking an entry-level SR Project Specialist to support project teams on-site in a construction/telecom environment. The role emphasizes organization, attention to detail, and a path toward professional growth in project management.

You will assist with setting up projects, maintain files, and help with documentation, permits, scheduling, and progress tracking. Training and development are encouraged, with occasional travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable with basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Ability to read and understand project instructions, work orders, and reports.
• Basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets, word processing, PDFs). Google Workspace experience is a plus.
• Ability to stay organized, manage tasks, and work independently with minimal guidance.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Help review and prepare project paperwork for final closeouts.

• Support company policies, procedures, and safety initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Some travel may be required.

Work Environment

• Frequently sit for prolonged periods of time
