Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to oversee the full execution of medium to large customer projects in industrial sectors, with responsibility for P&L, delivery, and customer satisfaction. You will lead resources, assess risks, and ensure on-time, on-budget outcomes.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering, 6+ years of project management experience, PMP or equivalent, and experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience as Project Manager, leading medium to large complex customer projects in the industrial / manufacturing section, preferably within Oil and Gas, Power Generation, Metals, Mining, or other related Industry field.
  • PMP Certification or equivalent

  • Influence strategy including control of resources and policy formulation.
  • Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes or services.

Job Description Summary

As related customer equipment, faciliaties or infrastructure projects: responsible for project delivery, profit & loss accountability, and customer satisfaction through management of project related activities and resources. Impacts the team’s ability to achieve service, quality and timeliness of objectives. The role is subject to operating policy objectives. There is moderate autonomy within the role. High levels of operational judgment are required to achieve outcomes required.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overseeing the full project execution and direct or indirect leadership and/or management of project resources for medium to large sized projects (size in relation to GE company) that may include to equipment-only, suites of products, and full system turnkey projects.
  • Requires specialized knowledge within the function. Influence the development of strategy for the area of responsibility, including control of resources and influences policy formulation.
  • Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work.
  • Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
  • May lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience as Project Manager, leading medium to large complex customer projects in the industrial / manufacturing section, preferably within Oil and Gas, Power Generation, Metals, Mining, or other related Industry field.
  • PMP Certification or equivalent

Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems for project tracking and financial management.
  • Background in customer-facing roles, particularly in service delivery or project execution environments.
  • Previous experience working in the Oil and Gas or other Industry segments.
  • General technical understanding of power conversion systems, including automation and controls, and electrical power systems.
  • Strong decision-making and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deliver on commitments.

Relocation Assistance Provided: No

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $132,200.00 and $220,400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
