Flexion Inc., a Madison, WI-based IT Consulting and Services firm, is looking for a Sr. Project Manager to work on a long-term consulting project. The client for this position is based in Madison, WI.

Duties for this position will include:

1. Design, plan, and coordinate work teams.
2. Follow standard project management industry practices such as the PMI's framework.
3. Understand business and technical objectives of a project, and work closely with the project sponsor.
4. Create project charter and work plan, and track budget and schedule progress via appropriate metrics.
5. Establish project organization and methodologies, and define roles and responsibilities.
6. Document risks and develop mitigation plans.
7. Manage scope. Create and implement a communication plan.
8. Build an effective team, assign tasks to team members, and evaluate outcomes.
9. Negotiate resources.
10. Communicate with stakeholders and the project sponsor.
11. Identify, track, and ensure resolution of issues and removal of barriers.
12. Provide technical support to project team members.
13. Handle complex application features and technical designs.
14. Design and implement components required for complex application features.
15. Manage a group of application systems analysts.
16. Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Skills required:

• Minimum of 12 years of Project Management experience.
• Capable of managing a project with up to ten (10) or more staff and/or multiple subprojects.

Thorough understanding of industry-standard project management methodologies and reporting (12+ years).

Strong leadership and ability to build relationships at all organizational levels.

History of large application development (12+ years).

Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative attitude.

• ***Must have a Valid PMP Certification at the time of submission.***

***Candidates MUST either live in OR be willing to relocate to the State of Wisconsin within 30 days of hiring.***

***This role will be 90 to 100% remote within the State of Wisconsin.***

The annual compensation range for this role is $95,000 - $130,000, and Flexion offers a comprehensive benefit package to all employees.
