Job summary

AriensCo is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to support new product development, optimize manufacturing processes, automate where beneficial, and improve overall efficiency at our Brillion, WI location.

You will partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality and other teams to drive process improvements, develop CAPEX ROI cases, and lead capital projects that boost productivity and safety in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial/Manufacturing Management, or a similar field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Engineering role.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Design Engineering during new product development to ensure manufacturability.
  • Research, develop, and implement manufacturing process improvements for new products, equipment upgrades, capacity expansion, and efficiency initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement by evaluating processes and equipment, identifying opportunities for enhancement, and staying current on emerging manufacturing technologies.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing process data within the ERP system, including routings, work centers, labor standards, material usage, and task definitions.
  • Lead automation initiatives and lead integration of automation into manufacturing operations.

This position partners closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and other cross-functional teams to develop and optimize manufacturing processes, implement new technologies, lead capital projects, and drive continuous improvement efforts.THE DAY TO DAY...Partner with Design Engineering during new product development to provide design-for-manufacturability feedback and determine required process, equipment, and tooling changesResearch, develop, and implement manufacturing process improvements to support new product introductions, equipment upgrades, capacity expansion, and operational efficiency initiatives.Drive continuous improvement efforts by evaluating existing processes and equipment, identifying opportunities for enhancement, and staying current on emerging manufacturing technologiesDevelop and maintain manufacturing process data within the ERP system, including routings, work centers, labor standards, material usage, and task definitionsConduct time studies, prototype builds, and process validations to establish and maintain accurate manufacturing standardsResearch, plan, and implement automation solutions that improve productivity, quality, safety, and return on investmentCollaborate with Design Engineering to optimize products for automation and lead the integration of automation technologies into manufacturing operationsDevelop capital expenditure (CAPEX) business cases, including cost analysis, ROI calculations, project timelines, vendor selection, and implementation planningLead process improvement studies and experiments to increase efficiency, improve quality, reduce costs, and enhance workplace safetyCoordinate and manage process trials for new products, equipment, and process changes to ensure successful implementation into productionWork cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Tooling, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams to support manufacturing initiatives and resolve process challengesResearch innovative manufacturing methods, tooling, and industry best practices to improve operations and mitigate process risks.Benchmark manufacturing processes and technologies to identify opportunities for competitive advantage and operational excellenceDevelop training materials, standard work instructions, and process documentation to support manufacturing teamsTrain operators and production personnel on new equipment, processes, and manufacturing standardsSupport safety, quality, productivity, and strategic planning initiatives by providing technical expertise and problem-solving supportDiagnose and resolve manufacturing, equipment, process, and quality issues to ensure efficient and reliable operationsTHE QUALIFICATIONS...Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial/Manufacturing Management, or a similar fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience in a Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Engineering roleApplicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.About AriensCoSince 1933, the AriensCo name has been associated with reliable, durably crafted, high-performance outdoor power equipment.
