Job summary

AriensCo in Fayetteville, TN seeks an Industrial Engineer to optimize manufacturing operations for our commercial lawn equipment facility. You will analyze production workflows, design lean initiatives, and develop time studies to boost productivity.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering (or related) and 3+ years' IE experience, with CAD/Excel/Power BI proficiency and a strong lean mindset. Metal fabrication experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in an Industrial Engineering role.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, simulation tools, and data analysis platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze production workflows and identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
  • Design and implement lean manufacturing initiatives (5S, Kaizen, value stream mapping).
  • Develop time studies, labor standards, and productivity improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve bottlenecks and improve throughput.
  • Monitor KPIs and generate reports to guide decision-making.

This role focuses on improving production efficiency, reducing waste, and enhancing quality through data-driven analysis and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in lean manufacturing, process engineering, and ergonomics, with a passion for driving operational excellence in a serial production environment.THE DAY TO DAY...Analyze production workflows and identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reductionDesign and implement lean manufacturing initiatives, including 5S, Kaizen, and value stream mappingDevelop time studies, work measurement systems, and labor standards to improve productivityCollaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain) to resolve bottlenecks and improve throughputEvaluate and optimize plant layout, material flow, and workstation ergonomicsSupport new product introductions by designing efficient manufacturing processes and tooling requirementsMonitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports to guide decision-makingLead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts for production inefficienciesEnsure compliance with safety and environmental regulations in all engineering activitiesTrain and mentor production staff on process improvements and best practicesManage engineering support for serial production lines, ensuring consistent quality and outputOversee process control and optimization for finished goods assembly, packaging, and delivery readinessTHE QUALIFICATIONS...Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field Minimum 3 years’ experience in an Industrial Engineering roleProficiency in CAD software, simulation tools, and data analysis platforms (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Minitab)Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologiesExcellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentExperience in metal fabrication, assembly linesApplicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.About AriensCoSince 1933, the AriensCo name has been associated with reliable, durably crafted, high-performance outdoor power equipment.
