Job Description

The Sr. Process RSPC, Cheese & Powder Project Manager is responsible for managing and leading projects related to the RSPC’s areas and the process manufacturing of cheeses and powder products, from design to full implementation. The role supports plant production and quality operations. Working with Operations, Research and Development, the Project Manager will optimize various production systems, which support manufacturing by implementing new processes or modifying existing ones. The position involves working with both existing and new processes within the company.

Travel will be required up to 50% of the time to plants based in NY, WI, CA, ID, NH, VT, AZ, TN, MI, or to manufacturer/vendor sites nationally and internationally.

Qualified Applicants Will Contribute The Following

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering.

Experience

• 5+ years’ experience managing capital expenditure projects, preferably in the food industry.
• Experience with dairy processes.
• Minimum of 5 years in USDA or FDA regulated plant environments supporting manufacturing and utilities.

Specialized Knowledge

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel skills (macros, pivot tables), and AutoCAD (equipment & P&ID drawings).

Skills / Abilities

• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to audit, investigate, and improve manufacturing process machinery.
• Effective communication skills with internal and external customers.
• Excellent prioritization, organization, time management, and follow-up skills.

Additional Details

Job Type: Full-time

Pay Range: $115,000 - $140,000 per year
