Are you an expert in paint and liquid coating application processes with a passion for optimizing manufacturing efficiency? Anchor Quest is working with a leader in manufacturing high-performance construction building solutions for residential and commercial industries. We’re looking for a Senior Paint Process Engineer to lead process innovation, equipment optimization, and application engineering for our client's paint/liquid coatings operations. This position is based remotely. However, it is a traveling role to their Midwest and Northeast locations.

What You’ll Do:

• Identify, develop, and implement new and improved paint process technologies to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Define and document technical specifications for coating production equipment, collaborating with internal teams, vendors, and suppliers.
• Serve as the SME (Subject Matter Expert) for coating applications, ensuring standardization and efficiency across all manufacturing equipment.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to optimize transfer efficiency and yield.
• Oversee benchmarking, competitive analysis, and technology investigations for continuous improvement.
• Maintain a technical library of application systems and create detailed technical drawings.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental standards related to industrial coating applications.

What You Bring:

• 15+ years of hands-on experience in liquid or powder paint/coating application process optimization
• Expertise in AutoCAD for equipment and process design.
• Strong knowledge of scientific analysis, process optimization, and coatings performance measurement tools.
• Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced industrial environment.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards and environmental considerations for coatings.
• Proven ability to collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s/Master's in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• Lean Six Sigma certification or similar process improvement training.
• We are ideally looking for candidates who currently live in the Midwest or Northeast territory.
