Job summary

Make a difference
The Sr Pharmacy Technician will perform the duties of a pharmacy technician, and advanced technician work, in compliance with standard procedures, Joint Commission, State Department of Health, and other regulatory standards. Within our Shipping & Operations area, a primary responsibility for this role involves the packing of medications. This includes accurately preparing packages for dispatch and entering all relevant shipping information into our designated portal. Additionally, you will be involved in medication filling processes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of medications to various units, and performing non-sterile compounding as needed.

• Accurately and efficientlyselect medications for dispensing
• Deliver medications, and suppliesto the proper location in a timely fashion
• Maintain contemporaryprofessional knowledge base
• Participate in the evaluation, development, and implementation of process improvement
• Perform basic compounding and calculations
• Communicate with patients, their families, and hospital staff in a positive and professional manner
• Advanced tasks includeproblem solving of advanced complexity, technical specialist and traineron daily tasks and cases.

Your exceptional qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent isrequired
• 2 - 4 years previous pharmaceutical experience isrequired
• 2 -3 years of Retail pharmacy experience preferred
• National Certification (PTCB or NHA) required
