Job summary

Community Health Network seeks a Sr Pharmacy Technician to perform dispensing duties and advanced technician work in compliance with standards and regulations. Responsibilities include aseptic compounding, delivering medications, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge while participating in process improvements.

The role requires state licensure, national certification, and 2–4 years of pharmaceutical experience.

Qualifications

2-4 years pharmaceutical experience required.
Indiana Pharmacy Technician License required.
National Certification (PTCB or NHA) required.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience submitting prior authorizations preferred.

Responsibilities

Accurately and efficiently select medications for dispensing.
Compound sterile products using aseptic techniques.
Deliver medications and supplies to the proper location in a timely fashion.
Maintain contemporary professional knowledge base.
Participate in evaluation, development and implementation of process improvement.
Perform basic compounding and calculations.
Communicate with patients, their families, and hospital staff in a positive and professional manner.
Advanced tasks include problem solving of advanced complexity, technical specialist and trainer on daily tasks and cases.
