The Senior Network Analyst is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of the University's network infrastructure, including campus wireless, physical security, and access control systems. This position provides advanced technical troubleshooting, system administration, and operational support to ensure the reliability, availability, and security of network services. The Senior Network Analyst responds to service requests and incidents, collaborates with campus stakeholders to meet operational requirements, and participates in the planning, evaluation, and deployment of network technologies. Working closely with the Lamar University Police Department on physical security systems, this position serves as a key member of the Network Services team and provides support across all areas of campus network operations.
Ability to perform the physical activities associated with network infrastructure installation, maintenance, and support, including lifting equipment, working in telecommunications and data center environments, and moving throughout campus or multiple work locations.
May be required to work in data centers, telecommunications closets, and other technical environments, with occasional after-hours support for maintenance activities and emergency network outages.
