Job summary

Lamar University is seeking a Senior Network Analyst to design, implement, maintain and support the campus network infrastructure, including wireless, wired, security, and access control systems. The role provides advanced troubleshooting and IT operations support to ensure reliability and security of network services across the campus.

The position works with the Network Services team and Lamar University Police Department, coordinating with stakeholders and participating in planning,

Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise infrastructure and network services.
• Experience with security cameras and access control technologies.
• Industry certifications such as CCNA, JNCIP-ENT, or JNCIA preferred.
• Higher education or K-12 experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and support the University's network infrastructure, including wired and wireless networks.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure secure operations.
• Support campus physical security and access control systems, including networked devices.
• Implement firmware upgrades, patches, and configuration changes for performance and security.
• Respond to service requests, provide technical support, and collaborate with campus stakeholders.
