Lamar Institute of Technology seeks a Technical Support Specialist II to provide user support for campus software, hardware, and connectivity. You will work with the help desk team under supervision, training others as needed, and report to the Manager of Client Computing.
The role is non-exempt and requires up-to-date IT skills, good communication, and the ability to manage equipment and software deployments across campus.

The report also contains information about crime statistics for the three most recent calendar years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus; in non-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by the Institute or a recognized student organization; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from, the campus. The Technical Support Specialist II's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing moderately complex systems support work as a part of the technical help desk team. This position provides user support for the college's computer software and hardware operation and connectivity, including classroom and conference room multimedia equipment. This position may train others and works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement. This position reports directly to the Manager of Client Computing. This is a non-exempt position.
