Job summary

A leading mechanical contractor in the DFW market is seeking a Senior Mechanical Estimator to join their preconstruction team. This role targets an experienced estimator with a strong background in mechanical and plumbing estimating, ideally with healthcare and complex commercial construction.

The Senior Estimator will work closely with the Chief Estimator and play a key role in reviewing opportunities, coordinating bids, and ensuring proposals are complete, accurate, and compliant with project

Qualifications

• 10+ years of mechanical estimating experience.
• Strong background in mechanical and plumbing construction.
• Healthcare project experience strongly preferred.
• Experience estimating commercial and/or complex MEP projects.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical/plumbing drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review detailed estimates for mechanical and plumbing projects.
• Support the Chief Estimator throughout the estimating and bidding process.
• Coordinate and manage ITBs and subcontractor/vendor pricing.
• Review proposals for scope compliance, accuracy, and completeness.
• Analyze plans, specifications, drawings, and project requirements.
• Identify scope gaps, exclusions, risks, and potential cost impacts.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, project teams, and clients as needed.
• Assist with bid preparation, leveling, and final proposal reviews.
• Maintain organized estimating documentation and bid records.
• Help ensure estimates are delivered accurately and within deadlines.

The Senior Estimator will work closely with the Chief Estimator and play a key role in reviewing opportunities, coordinating bids, and ensuring proposals are complete, accurate, and compliant with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities
