Job summary

GS2 | B Corp™ is seeking a Senior Mechanical Estimator to own high-value bids on mission-critical data center and large commercial developments in Texas. You will lead end-to-end mechanical estimating (HVAC, piping, plumbing, dynamic cooling) from concept through GMP.

Responsibilities include analyzing design-build and design-assist drawings, identifying risks, building relationships with MEP subs, negotiating pricing, and presenting cost models to executives with value-engineering options.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical estimating experience for commercial GC or major MEC subcontractor.
• Direct experience with large-scale commercial builds; exposure to mission-critical or data center cooling infrastructure preferred.
• Proficiency in estimating software (Estimating Edge, Planswift, Accubid, or similar) and On-Screen Takeoff.

We are partnering with a premier, top-tier General Contractor in Texas to find a Senior Mechanical Estimator. This role puts you at the forefront of the region’s booming mission-critical sector, driving cost strategies for massive data centers and high-profile commercial builds.

What You'll Do

Lead end-to-end mechanical estimating (HVAC, piping, plumbing, dynamic cooling) from conceptual design through final GMP.

Analyze complex design-build and design-assist drawings, identifying risks and scope gaps early.

Build strong relationships with specialized MEP subcontractors, negotiating vendor pricing and evaluating bid packages.

Collaborate directly with project management and executive teams to present cost models and strategic value-engineering solutions.

What We’re Looking For

Experience: 5+ years of mechanical estimating experience with a commercial General Contractor or major Mechanical Subcontractor.

Project Expertise: Direct experience with large-scale commercial builds; exposure to mission-critical or data center cooling infrastructure is strongly preferred.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Estimating Edge, Planswift, Accubid, or similar) and On-Screen Takeoff.

Background: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent hands-on industry experience.

• Base salary $140,000 to $180,000 dependent on experience
• Bonus package dependent on personal and company performance
