Job summary

MKL Careers is seeking a Project Executive to join a leading DFW mechanical contractor. This senior leadership role oversees major projects, builds client relationships, and drives successful delivery across multiple teams.

You will provide strategic direction to PMs, engineers, and field crews, review budgets and schedules, manage contracts, and collaborate with owners, GCs, and trades to ensure quality, safety, and on-time performance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in commercial mechanical construction.
• Senior project management or project executive experience.
• Strong HVAC/Plumbing/MEP knowledge.
• Experience managing large-scale, complex projects.
• Strong financial and contract management skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Experience with major GCs, owners, and trade partners.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee multiple large mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through completion.

• Maintain relationships with owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and key stakeholders.
• Review project financials, budgets, schedules, contracts, and overall performance.

• Drive accountability across project teams while ensuring quality, safety, and schedule expectations are met.
• Assist with business development and strengthening key client relationships.

The Role

• Lead and oversee multiple large-scale mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through completion
• Provide strategic direction to Project Managers, Project Engineers, and field teams
• Maintain strong relationships with owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and key stakeholders
• Review project financials, budgets, schedules, contracts, and overall performance
• Identify and manage project risks, changes, and opportunities
• Support estimating and preconstruction efforts on new projects

• Assist with business development and strengthening key client relationships
• Mentor and develop project management teams

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of experience within commercial mechanical construction
• Previous experience in a senior project management, operations, or project executive capacity
• Strong HVAC/Plumbing/MEP construction knowledge
• Proven experience managing large-scale, complex projects
• Strong financial and contract management skills
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
• Experience working with major GCs, owners, and trade partners
• Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
