Job summary

SkyWater is partnering with a growing manufacturer in the Northwest metro who’s looking to hire a Sr. Materials Planner for their team.

This role offers ownership of material strategy across the product lifecycle, partnering cross-functionally on launches and end-of-life planning. You will build and maintain PFEP, balance forecast risk, service levels, and inventory exposure, and collaborate with product development, sourcing, manufacturing, and finance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and APICS certification are required.
  • 3–5 years of planning or materials/inventory management experience in manufacturing.
  • Experience with Oracle or SAP ERP systems and strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with product development, sourcing, manufacturing and finance to manage material planning for launches and end-of-life.
  • Build and maintain a PFEP, balance forecast risk, service levels and inventory exposure.
  • Conduct risk assessments on forecast accuracy for new products and design changes; mitigate accordingly.
  • Align purchasing and supplier activities to avoid stranded inventory during transitions; present findings to leadership.

SkyWater is partnering with a growing manufacturer in the Northwest metro who’s looking to hire a Sr. Materials Planner for their team! Our client is a mid-sized, industry-leading company that’s investing heavily in its supply chain function. This is a great opportunity to take ownership of material strategy at both ends of the product lifecycle, partnering cross-functionally on new product launches and product sunset planning. We’re looking for a strategic, detail-oriented planning professional with a track record of managing inventory through both new product introduction and end-of-life. Responsibilities
  • Partner cross-functionally with product development, sourcing, manufacturing, and finance teams to manage material planning at both product launch and end-of-life. Build and maintain a Plan for Every Part (PFEP), balancing forecast risk, service levels, and inventory exposure across functions. Conduct structured risk assessments to identify forecast accuracy risk tied to new product launches & design changes, and partner on mitigation strategies. Track new product development milestones and adjust material plans accordingly. Manage phase-out of parts and products approaching end-of-life, minimizing surplus & obsolete inventory while protecting service levels. Align purchasing and supplier activities to avoid stranded inventory during product transitions. Prepare and present findings, plans, and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders & leadership.
Desired Skills And Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. APICS certification required. 3-5 years of experience in a planning or materials / inventory management role within an industrial manufacturing environment. Experience with Oracle or SAP ERP systems preferred. Strong analytical, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Excellent communication skills (both written & verbal).
