Job summary

CBRE DirectLine is seeking a Logistics & Warehouse Specialist in the United States to ensure the right quantity of materials for projects and to meet targets for quality, delivery, and total cost of acquisition.

Responsibilities include processing shipments, preparing orders, maintaining inventory, and ensuring safety and accuracy. Eligible candidates should have a valid driver's license and forklift experience; relocation assistance may be available on select roles.

Aboutthe Role:

We are looking for a highly energetic,result oriented, passionate, and hands-on Logistics Associate with a desire tojoin a growing team. The primary purpose of this position is to ensure that thecompany has the proper amount of product required for the completion ofrespective projects. It is the incumbent’s responsibility to ensure thatsuppliers meet the company’s targets for quality, delivery, and total cost ofacquisition.

What You’ll Do
  • Warehouse worker is responsible for completing shipments by processing and loading orders.
  • Preparing orders by processing requests and supply orders, pulling materials, packing boxes, and placing orders in delivery area.
  • Maintaining inventory controls by collecting stock location orders and printing requests.
  • Maintaining quality service by following organization standards.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat, and maintaining a clean shipping supply area. Complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Completing reports by entering required information.
  • Maintaining technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing publications.
  • Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Must be able to drive a box truck or company van and have a valid driver's license.
  • Experience with Operating a forklift

  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required equipment as well as to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other technical instruments.
  • Able to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 50 pounds.

EDUCATION And EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or GED (General Education Degree) equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum of 3 years related work experience in warehouse, shipping and receiving.

Technical training consisting of completed certificate or diploma in HVAC controls, electrical controls and/or mechanical systems application and design.

Communication Skills

A valid driver's license with a good driving record for applicable vehicles, without restrictions, or limiting conditions. (Corrective lenses permitted) Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information. Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar. Must be an active listener, giving full attention to what others people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis. Possess a working knowledge of arithmetic.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills. Must possess critical thinking skills using logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions and approaches to problems. Must possess problem solving skills and be able to identify problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and offer/implement solutions.

OTHER SKILLS And ABILITIES

Must be well organized with a strong attention to detail and accuracy. Able to meet deadlines with multiple tasks and projects in fast paced, changing environment. Ability to work closely with customers, subcontractors, engineers, designers, project managers, sales, shipping and receiving and panel shop to help Operations facilitate on-time and on-budget projects

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

Knowledge of computer hardware and software including applications. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and capable of adapting learning to incorporate new technology. Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics software helpful. Must be able to type 55-65 wpm and be able to use a 10-key Decisions made with general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.
