Formación

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, industrial, or mechanical engineering or related field.

• Experience with PCBA assembly (SMT and through-hole), testing, and final assembly.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and process improvement tools.

This role is critical in driving continuous improvement and innovation within the manufacturing engineering function.Job Responsibilities* Direct and oversee a team of manufacturing engineers, providing leadership, mentorship, and performance management to achieve departmental goals.* Develop, implement, and maintain robust manufacturing processes for a wide range of electronic products, from prototyping to mass production.* Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other advanced manufacturing techniques to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve product quality.* Collaborate closely with R&D, Design, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to ensure seamless product introduction (NPI) and resolve manufacturing challenges.* Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for engineering projects, ensuring timely and successful completion.* Identify, evaluate, and implement new manufacturing technologies, equipment, and automation solutions to increase efficiency and capabilities.* Develop and maintain documentation for manufacturing processes, work instructions, and engineering specifications.* Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949).* Conduct root cause analysis for manufacturing defects and implement corrective and preventive actions.* Represent the manufacturing engineering team in cross-functional meetings and stakeholder discussions.Job Qualifications* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field. A Master's degree is a plus.* Minimum of 8 years of experience in manufacturing engineering within the electronics industry, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or management role.* Proven experience in managing and developing engineering teams.* Strong understanding of electronic manufacturing processes, including PCBA assembly (SMT, Through-hole), testing, final assembly, and functional testing.* Expertise in lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred), and other process improvement tools.* Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD), manufacturing execution systems (MES), and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.* Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.* Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.* Knowledge of industry standards and regulations relevant to electronic manufacturing.BE AWARE OF FRAUD: When applying for a job at Jabil you will be contacted via correspondence through our official job portal with a jabil.com e-mail address; direct phone call from a member of the Jabil team; or direct e-mail with a jabil.com e-mail address.
