Job summary

Jabil in Memphis, USA seeks a Quality Engineer to represent the quality function across global accounts. You will develop QA plans for new product introductions, support design and quoting, and drive process improvements with suppliers and internal teams.

You will lead corrective actions, review discrepancies, and train staff while ensuring compliance with safety and ISO standards. This role includes supervising quality techs and inspectors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer in an electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with PFMEA, PFD, Control Plans, 8D, A3, DMAIC, Lean Six Sigma, PDCA, PPAP, AQP, Audit, SPC, Root Cause Analysis, TPM, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Process Capacity, 3Way 5Whys, Risk Assessment, and Failure Tree Analysis; ISO certification programs; and Lean manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain QA plans for global new product introductions using APQP and process optimization.
  • Support quoting activities during process design, development, and implementation phases.
  • Evaluate inspection processes via inspection aids and guidelines.
  • Support global training programs for the customer through specialized training sessions.
  • Develop systems for document storage, access and review for global accounts.
  • Review discrepancies and track effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Coordinate and track corrective/preventive action efforts.
  • Participate in vendor surveys and drive supplier process improvements.
  • Interface with departments on Policies and Procedures.
  • Assist in process improvement and standardization of manufacturing.
  • Interface with customer on quality issues as needed.
  • Follow safety and health rules and company security policies.
  • Support corrective actions using SPC data and organize meetings as needed.
  • Improve technical support for the quality organization.
  • Supervise quality techs and inspectors.

Serve as liaison between Jabil Circuit and suppliers or customers on global quality related issues.What Will You Do?· Develop and maintain QA plans and timeliness of global new product introductions utilizing Advanced Product Quality Planning and Process Optimization specific to the customer.· Provide support for all quoting activities by participation in initial process design, development, and implementation phases.· Evaluate and provide input to inspection processes via inspection aids and instruction guidelines.· Support all global training programs specific to their customer by development and implementation of specialized training sessions for all applicable functions.· Develop appropriate systems for document storage, access and review pertaining to global customer accounts.· Review all supplies, internal, and customer discrepancies, coordinate and track the effectiveness of corrective/proactive action efforts.· Conduct periodic review and maintenance of all documentation files; develop appropriate systems for document storage and access.· Review all supplier or customer discrepancies.· Coordinate and track the corrective/preventative action effort.· Participate in the vendor survey activities as applicable.
