The ideal candidate is a Six Sigma expert and systems thinker who thrives in high-impact environments.

Essential Functions:

  • Measure, model, and simulate operations to identify process improvements.
  • Conduct time studies and create productivity flow charts to quantify performance metrics.
  • Develop and utilize process maps and simulations to support operational changes.
  • Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) to reduce process variation.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions using FMEA and control plans.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality teams to implement data-driven improvements.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders clearly and effectively.
  • Use structured problem-solving tools such as DMAIC, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, or 8D for process analysis.
  • Lead initiatives related to Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Observe and document workflows to reverse-engineer process maps.
  • Perform data analysis using SQL, Excel, and statistical software such as Minitab or Python.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field required.
  • 5+ years of experience in process engineering or manufacturing engineering, preferably in high-volume environments.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, SQL, and statistical tools such as Minitab or Python.
  • Deep knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and structured problem-solving techniques.
  • Experience using and interpreting FMEA, SPC, and MSA methodologies.
  • Skilled in creating process simulations and reverse-engineering workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Experience with line balancing projects

Fender is required by law in certain jurisdictions to include a pay scale in the job posting for this position. “Pay scale” means the salary or hourly wage range that Fender reasonably expects to pay for this position; it is neither a promise nor a guarantee of the compensation that the successful candidate will receive. The pay scale for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that Fender considers in making compensation decisions, including, without limitation: skill set, experience, and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Please note that it is not typical for a Fender employee to be at or near the top of the pay scale for their role – especially as a new hire – and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way.
