Sr Manager - Software Engineering - US Remote

Responsibilities

1. Lead software engineering teams responsible for designing and delivering high-quality, cloud-based software for critical business features.
2. Collaborate with Architecture, Data, Product, and Enterprise teams to advance key products and platforms.
3. Establish patterns and deliver configurable technology solutions via standard pipelines for consumer experiences.
4. Implement best practices for logging and monitoring production systems to meet business expectations.
5. Work with product owners to communicate benefits, influence roadmaps, and prioritize tasks.
6. Research, implement, and promote standard processes; share knowledge across teams.
7. Drive towards simplicity and the adoption of modern digital, cloud, and open-source technologies.
8. Estimate efforts and design solutions for new applications.
9. Provide thought leadership in technology and contribute to recruiting top talent.
10. Address issues impacting design, sales, and future concepts or technologies.
11. Handle complex issues across business and functional areas.

Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in software engineering, including design, DevOps, and architecture experience.
• At least 4+ years managing and developing engineering teams.
• Experience with cloud services like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• 8+ years working with the MEAN stack and Node.js microservices.
• 4+ years in DevOps and pipeline development.
• Strong belief in thorough testing, resiliency, monitoring, documentation, and collaboration.
• Extensive knowledge of solution patterns and frameworks.
• Effective communicator with product and management teams.
• Proven project, financial, and vendor management skills.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
