Upstart is seeking a Senior Manager of Loan Salability & First‑Line Model Governance. You will own the function end‑to‑end, leading a small team and partnering with Credit Risk, Capital Markets, Model Risk Management, and Partners to ensure portfolio risk stays within appetite and is exam‑ready.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in business‑line credit risk or secured lending operations.
• Experience with loan salability oversight, investor delivery, and related risk.
• Experience monitoring portfolio performance and asset quality indicators.
• Experience with first‑line model oversight and governance processes.
• Experience partnering with Capital Markets and bank partners.
• Experience leading analysts and cross‑functional programs.

Responsibilities

• Own secured lending asset quality and loan salability function end‑to‑end.
• Define methodology, cadence, and reporting for the team of analysts.
• Monitor salability risk across channels and escalate when needed.
• Translate findings into remediation plans and actions.
• Oversee model monitoring, inventory, and change impact assessments.
• Collaborate with partners to ensure regulatory readiness and governance.
