Job summary

Otis, a global leader in elevator and escalator solutions, seeks a New Equipment Field Operations Manager for the Midwest, based in Chicago. You will lead the new equipment field team, drive performance, ensure SIP compliance, and oversee safety and project delivery across the territory.

You will train staff, provide technical direction for large bids, and resolve critical customer issues, while traveling 75–85% to support installations and projects.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years elevator industry experience or experience leading technicians in a similar industry preferred.
  • Experience working with field level associates required.
  • Strong leadership experience and ability to develop expectations and relationships with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Performance to Estimate in the branch offices.
  • Ensure adherence to Sales Installation Process (SIP).
  • Provide on-going training, development, and leadership to the new equipment operations team.
  • Provide technical direction to field operations staff and participate in large bids.
  • Investigate and resolve all critical customer issues with Otis products.
  • Monitor field tests, first inspection data reports, and safety processes.
  • Drive a safety culture through communication, discipline, and training.
  • Ensure compliance with safety requirements including daily JHA and rigging plans.
  • Travel: 75-85% within the territory.
