Job description

Sr. Manager, HR Automation and Transformation

United States - Remote

About the Team

The Technology and Insights team consists of People Technology, People Analytics, People Apps and Corporate IT teams. It’s a team that, through our technology, services and products, touches every aspect of the employee lifecycle, with core people platforms like Workday and Greenhouse, custom people products, hardware and software distribution, IT service desk and everything in between. We’re a global team, supporting our workforce in 30+ countries across the Americas, EMEA and APAC. Our obsession is providing world-class experiences to our users, through all the services and products we provide, providing continuous efficiencies through automation and cutting-end technology like AI.

About the Role

We’re hiring asenior leader to drive rapid, high-impact improvements across our global People function - which uniquely integrates traditional HR, People Tech, and IT under one roof. We operate with a product mindset, and we’re looking for someone who brings the same approach: think MVPs, iteration, scalability, and user experience - not lengthy discovery docs or abstract strategy decks (but all anchored in a three year vision).

You’ll lead fast-paced, agile improvements across systems, processes, and service delivery. While this is an individual contributor role, you’ll act as the program lead for a distributed network of collaborators embedded throughout the People function. Success depends on your ability to lead without “org chart authority”, bring clarity to complex initiatives, and keep the momentum moving fast.

We’re especially excited about candidates with hands-on experience in HR automation and AI, and a POV on how to apply these technologies in practical, scalable ways.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…
  • Drive rapid, iterative improvements to People programs, systems, and service models across HR and IT
  • Own and run a portfolio of improvement initiatives, executed through partnership with embedded collaborators across Talent, People Ops, Systems, and IT
  • Govern cross-functional execution without org chart authority, ensuring accountability and momentum without formal ownership
  • Use fast-cycle experimentation: pilot, measure, refine, and scale - prioritizing speed and learning over perfection
  • Own our roadmap for People program automation, AI use cases, and service tooling, Partner with People Tech and IT to bring it to life
  • Drive alignment across People, IT, Legal, and Finance on what gets prioritized and why
  • Track and communicate key metrics to measure impact
We’re excited about you because…
  • 6 - 10+ years of experience in HR operations, business operations, product ops, or People Tech with experience in an HR Product Manager or HR Product Leader role
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional projects and driving work through others
  • Demonstrated success implementing HR automation, service delivery models, or AI-enabled workflows and a sharp POV on where HR is going, especially when it comes to automation, AI, and intelligent service delivery
  • Familiarity with common HR processes and systems (like Workday, Greenhouse, JIRA, or custom People tools)
  • A product mindset: ability to scope MVPs, collect user feedback, and iterate toward scale
  • Ability to break down complex problems and move quickly toward impact
  • Strong communicator who can lead with influence, navigate ambiguity, and build trust across technical and non-technical teams
  • Blend of consulting and in-house experience - you’ve led HR transformation projects as a consultant and know how to drive change inside complex organizations
  • Experience operating in an integrated HR + IT function

We expect this position to be filled by 6/23/25
