Senior Manager, Global Launch Process & Strategy

The Senior Manager of Global Launch Process & Strategy is a senior strategic leadership role responsible for the design, development, and enterprise-wide implementation of Lucid’s Global Launch Excellence Process. This leader will establish a comprehensive architectural framework and standardized methodologies—including a robust Launch Excellence Playbook—defining best practices for program timing, financial governance, reporting transparency, and cross-functional execution. Reporting to the Senior Director of Global Launch, this role is accountable for governance, process design, capability development, and the deployment of enabling tools and systems that ensure consistent and effective application of launch standards worldwide.

You Will
  • Lead the design, authoring, and maintenance of comprehensive global standards for vehicle and powertrain launch phases, ensuring all processes meet OEM expectations and internal quality mandates.
  • Develop standardized methodologies and templates for program scheduling and financial tracking to be utilized by all program launch teams.
  • Design and implement standardized cross-functional reporting tools and dashboards to ensure consistent, transparent status updates across the global portfolio.
  • Lead the deployment of new launch standards across the organization, providing necessary training and tools to ensure successful adoption by local execution teams.
  • Establish continuous improvement feedback loops from current launches to refine and update standards, ensuring lessons learned are formally integrated into future processes.
  • Monitor the application of launch standards globally to ensure consistency and compliance, intervening to course-correct process deviations as needed.
You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related technical field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 20+ years of experience in the automotive sector, with extensive experience in vehicle and powertrain launch and quality.
  • Significant career history of personally delivering complex launch programs, providing the foundational real-world experience required to design standards for others.
  • Proven track record in the design and organizational roll‑out of high‑level launch standards, reporting protocols, and budgetary frameworks.
  • Ability to conceptualize complex manufacturing and engineering workflows into repeatable, scalable processes.
  • Deep mastery of automotive launch and quality gate systems, specifically for powertrain and vehicle assembly.
  • Ability to create intuitive, data‑driven systems for managing multi‑million dollar launch budgets and critical path timing.
  • Skilled at defining and communicating high‑level strategy and process requirements to both technical teams and executive leadership.
  • Experience in shifting organizational culture toward increased transparency and standardized reporting.
