Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Manager, Business Resilience — Response Operations (Remote) to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will shape and run the organization’s crisis response and business resilience response operations, with a strong focus on governance, readiness, and execution during significant events. The leader will partner closely with crisis team leads and executive stakeholders to coordinate clear, timely responses and maintain operational discipline. This position also provides hands‑on leadership during activations, including incident command coverage and support for decision‑making at the senior level.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $130,000 – $205,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Own and set the strategy for the crisis response program, including governance and operational cadences
• Take on‑call shifts and assume Incident Commander responsibilities during coverage gaps or escalations
• Partner with crisis team leads to ensure coordinated responses across significant events
• Produce accurate, decision‑ready artifacts such as SitReps and executive briefings
• Design and facilitate training exercises and lead after‑action reviews for continuous improvement
• Support executive leadership during activations with pre‑packaged options and logistical support
• Build and lead the Response Operations team, ensuring robust coverage and capability

Qualifications

• 12+ years in crisis/incident management, business resilience, or technology operations leadership, preferably in a SaaS environment
• Experience owning a corporate crisis management or business resilience program with strong program‑management discipline
• Demonstrated capability in Incident Command, ready to step into the IC role during activations
• Proven people leadership skills, including hiring and coaching teams
• Strong executive communication skills, with a track record of influencing senior stakeholders
