GENERAL FUNCTION

The Sr. Maintenance Manager leads the site's Equipment Maintenance Program and creates a world-class maintenance organization.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides prioritization, direction, and support to maintenance team leaders and technicians performing breakdown and preventative maintenance on production equipment.
• Reports on the effectiveness of maintenance resource utilization based on cost vs. budget, uptime, reactive vs. preventative maintenance, etc.
• Hires, manages, and develops a competent maintenance workforce.
• Manages 8-10 skilled maintenance personnel.
• Provides leadership and support for lean manufacturing initiatives to maximize asset utilization and plant performance.
• Interfaces directly with vendor technical support groups as necessary for maintenance and equipment improvement.
• Responsible for facility maintenance, including HVAC, electrical distribution, etc.
• Manages the CMMS maintenance system to maximize production uptime.
• Selects, purchases, and manages inventory of all necessary maintenance parts and supplies—both expense and capital.
• Works with the facility manager to develop budgets.
• Participates as a member of the facility safety committee.
• Implements process enhancements to increase equipment uptime, improve product quality, and reduce costs.
• Leads troubleshooting efforts for equipment and processes.
• Collaborates with corporate engineering on capital projects and process improvements.
• Shares best practices with other facilities.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Associates degree in engineering or maintenance-related field.
• 8+ years of manufacturing/maintenance experience.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience.
• Mechanical/Electrical experience maintaining production equipment in a continuous environment.
• Experience in maintenance organization structure and planning tools.
• Experience in ISO or similar documented environments.
• Proven ability to hire, develop, and train maintenance personnel.
• Experience with performance metrics for Preventive and Predictive Maintenance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with industrial electrical writing, mechanical/electrical devices, circuits, robotics, PLCs, and computer-controlled systems.
• Experience with computer-driven maintenance and planning software.
