The BMC Senior z/OS Consultant provides leadership in technical delivery engagements by implementing mainframe infrastructure projects. A Senior Consultant works closely with the Practice Lead (PL) and Project Management (PM) team to meet customer requirements. The role involves hands-on software and configuration changes on customer systems, translating logical designs into physical implementations, and contributing to design documentation, procedures, and standards within BMS.
This position primarily focuses on our AMI Cloud product suite, including AMI Cloud Data, Vault, and Analytics. It involves migrating clients from physical and virtual tape systems to cloud-based storage and data protection. Knowledge of mainframe hardware/software infrastructure, backup and archive technologies, storage environments, system software configurations, security, UNIX/Linux, zCX, and object storage is required. The role also supports other product areas like AMI Data, AMI Ops Monitoring and Automation, and AMI Storage.

The salary range for this position is approximately $111,525 to $185,875, based on experience, skills, and organizational needs. This range is part of the total compensation package, which may include variable pay and benefits.
