Senior Storage Mainframe z/OS Consultant (AMI Cloud)

The BMC Senior z/OS Consultant provides leadership on technical delivery engagements by implementing and delivering mainframe infrastructure projects. A Senior Consultant works closely with the Practice Lead (PL) and Project Management (PM) team to meet the approved Customer requirements. The Senior Consultant performs hands-on software and configuration changes on customer systems. The Senior Consultant translates logical design into physical designs and contributes to detailed design documentation, as well as develops procedures and standards within BMC.

This position will focus on our AMI Cloud product suite, including AMI Cloud Data, Vault, and Analytics components. It involves moving clients off physical and virtual tape systems to cloud-based storage and data protection. Knowledge in mainframe hardware/software infrastructure, backup and archive technologies, storage environments, system software configurations, security, Unix/Linux, zCX, and object storage is required. This is a rapidly growing area within BMC's offerings. Additionally, this role will provide services to overlapping product areas like AMI Data, AMI Ops Monitoring and Automation, and AMI Storage products.

The salary range for this position is estimated between $111,525 and $185,875, depending on experience, skills, and organizational needs. Other compensation components may include variable pay and country-specific benefits.
