Job summary

Central Transport LLC is seeking a seasoned Terminal Operations Supervisor in Oklahoma City to oversee inbound operations at the dock, manage forklift traffic, and ensure safe, efficient unloading of palletized freight.

You will lead a team of up to 30 local LTL drivers and dock personnel, monitor cube and weight for proper trailer loads, and drive KPI attainment while maintaining DOT/OSHA safety standards and a culture of service excellence.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee inbound operations for the terminal dock area.

• Monitor trailer cube/weight and ensure accurate loads.
• Provide leadership and accountability to drivers and dock staff.
• Track dock production and KPI attainment.
• Ensure safety compliance with DOT/OSHA standards.

Salary: $60,000-$75,000 + 10% bonus potential

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

• Experience in a transportation, cross docking, or shipping and receiving environment (preferably within the LTL industry)
• Strong leadership qualities
• Desire to surround customer with excellence in service
• High aptitude for technology
• The ability to multi-task while being detail oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• An Associates or Bachelor’s Degree, preferred but not required

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Oversee inbound operations for your designated section of the terminal dock
• This includes the process of loading, managing forklift traffic, and overseeing the proper unloading of palletized freight.
• Manage up to 30 local LTL drivers and dock personnel to achieve a designated production schedule.
• Ensure proper load of carriers by monitoring the cube and weight of trailers
• Provide leadership and accountability to a team of drivers, dock workers and dock hand.
• Monitor dock production, ensuring facility Key Performance Indicator goals are met and/or exceeded.
• Monitor hours and overtime.
• Maintain a safe work environment compliant with state and federal DOT/OSHA standards.
• Ensure company operational model compliance.
• Support a culture of excellence in quality of product to internal and external customers
