Job summary

Medline Industries, LP is seeking a Laboratory Lead to manage day-to-day lab operations and ensure testing turnaround times are met. You will uphold good laboratory practices and housekeeping, while maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities include conducting tests on materials, reviewing data for accuracy, and training new staff per SOPs. A degree in a scientific field is preferred, with at least 3 years in a lab environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific field preferred.
  • At least 3 years of laboratory experience.

  • Review test data, calculations and results for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assign testing and ensure completion dates for sample submissions.
  • Evaluate new technologies, products, and materials as assigned by management, as well as other projects.
  • Recommend appropriate test methods based on product type and evaluation needs.
  • Facilitate and process test requests and results with independent laboratories.
  • Write, review, and update standard operating procedures.
  • Train new employees per standard operating procedure and document training appropriately.

Job Summary

  • Assign testing and ensure completion dates are met for sample submissions.
  • Evaluate new technologies, products, and materials as assigned by management, as well as other projects.
  • Recommend appropriate test methods based on product type and evaluation needs.
  • Facilitate and process test requests and results with independent laboratories.
  • Write, review, and/or update standard operating procedures.
  • Train new employees per standard operating procedure and document training appropriately.
Minimum Job Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification / Licensure: None
  • Work Experience: At least 3 years of experience working in a laboratory.
  • Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: Basic skills with Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Preferred Job Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a scientific related field (Chemistry, Biology, Analytical, etc.)
  • Certification / Licensure: None
  • Work Experience: Experience in a regulated industry.
  • Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: None
Salary

The anticipated salary range for this position: $28.75 - $41.75 Hourly. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
